Deutsche Telekom Advances 5G Expansion With Launch of Affordable T Tablet

Deutsche Telekom Launches Affordable 5G T Tablet
Deutsche Telekom intends to achieve its goal of doubling 5G coverage across Europe through investments in infrastructure, network deployment, tariff development, and accessible 5G devices. In a move to offer affordable 5G devices, Deutsche Telekom has announced the launch of new T Tablet.

Deutsche Telekom 5G T Tablet

According to Deutsche Telekom, the new T Tablet, scheduled for availability from August 24, can be acquired for just 1 euro with any Magenta Mobile or Data plan. Without a mobile plan, the T Tablet can be purchased for a one-time fee of 219 euros.

The T Tablet and T Phone are outcomes of the partnership with Google, effectively combining hardware, software, and network capabilities to enable 5G access for all.

5G T Tablet Specifications

The T Tablet, designed to cater to a digital-savvy audience, especially the younger generation, has a 10.4-inch screen with an operating time of up to 13 hours, Dual SIM functionality, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and the option to expand the internal storage from 128GB to 2TB via a micro-SD card.

"Digital learning is a central part of everyday school life. This means that not only mobile access to fast Internet has become indispensable, but also the availability of affordable end devices for all students," stated Deutsche Telekom.

The tablet grants access to Google Kids Space, offering age-appropriate apps, books, and videos for enhanced learning experiences. Additionally, Google Entertainment Space provides access to movies, series, videos, games, and books. The package further includes 100 GB of Google One cloud storage free for three months, with activation available from August 17, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

Global Rollout

In addition to the new T Tablet launch, Telekom Deutschland has also unveiled an updated T Phone, featuring the new "Dusty Grey" color, expanded ROM memory, NFC capabilities, an upgraded front camera, and the Android 13 operating system. The refreshed T Phone will be available from August 24, starting at just 1 euro with options like the MagentaMobil S rate plan.

Telekom Deutschland said the launch of the T Tablet in Germany is part of a broader international product rollout. The new 5G device is now also available in Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, and the United States.
