Deutsche Telekom has not taken a summer break in its Network Expansion programme. The telco said it had expanded its mobile network at 798 sites in the last four weeks, with 183 entirely new locations now transmitting on both LTE and 5G frequencies, depending on individual coverage goals.

Nationwide 5G Network Deployment
Furthermore, Telekom Deutschland has bolstered the mobile capacity at 615 already operational sites, solidifying the LTE and 5G network capabilities.
A key milestone reached during this ambitious expansion is the deployment of approximately 9,700 5G antennas nationwide, spanning more than 750 cities and towns. Telekom stated that these antennas operate on the 3.6 GHz frequency, offering download speeds of up to over 1 Gbps.

Over 95 Percent of Households Embrace 5G
Telekom has reported that 5G reception availability on their network has become the standard, with over 95 percent of households now having access to Telekom’s 5G Network. Additionally, Telekom stated that it achieved 99 percent LTE coverage across the country.
Deutsche Telekom stated, “Over 95 percent of the population can already enjoy 5G services from Telekom, and by 2025, we aim to reach 99 percent of the population. Our objective is to provide Germany with a comprehensive and future-proof network, enabling the nation to thrive in the digital era.”
