However, WABetaInfo did not reveal whether the company is planning for a standalone application or will it be just a client application like the WhatsApp Web. WhatsApp will either release an application for Apple iPad or the company will release a client application such as WhatsApp Web for Windows and MacBook users.

WhatsApp might release a standalone application for Apple iPad cellular variants in the near future, or the company will release a client application to access WhatsApp. In the second option, it will work similar to the Windows and macOS desktop version. Users have to keep their mobile phone connected all the time to the if the second option happens.

WhatsApp was rumoured to launch a WhatsApp for iPad in recent times, and this references in the latest desktop version have partially confirmed the launch is imminent.

In recent times, WhatsApp has introduced a slew of new features such as Delete for Everyone, live location, WhatsApp for Business, etc. The company is also working on WhatsApp Pay which is slated to launch in India next month.

The most recent feature introduced by WhatsApp is the 'Delete for Everyone,' which allows you the users to delete messages even after sending. There are two options in this feature- Delete for Everyone and Delete for Me. A user can delete a sent message within seven minutes from the time of the message sent.

In December 2017, WhatsApp will be launching WhatsApp Pay feature with which users can send and receive money in the app itself. This feature works on UPI service.
