This new plan is Idea Cellular’s first step towards the growing competition post the merger. Idea Cellular Rs 295 Prepaid plan
This new plan by Idea doesn’t offer daily data for its entire validity periods. Instead, it comes with an older format of 5GB bundled data which is valid for 42 days. Besides the 5GB 2G/3G/4G benefit, users have the calling facility which is capped at 250 minutes a day and 1000 minutes a week. Also, users are only limited to calling 100 unique numbers in 7 consecutive days. After users exhaust the data limit, they will be charged at Rs 4 per MB or 4p/10KB. On crossing the voice cap, subscribers will be charged at 1p/minute. Lastly, subscribers also get the added benefit of 100 SMS per day.

Idea Cellular also has a Rs 149 voice-only plan which offers free voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 21 days.
