WhatsApp has pushed a new beta update for Android users which takes the version number to 2.18.300. While WhatsApp did not reveal any new features officially, the new version brings along one of the much-awaited feature- Swipe to Reply. Notably, Swipe to Reply feature was present on the iOS version of WhatsApp since the day it rolled per message reply, but Android users were left behind. However, it’s now possible for WhatsApp users on Android to just swipe on message and replying to it. Essentially, WhatsApp is making it easier for Android users to reply back to a message.

WhatsApp Swipe to Reply Feature: How it Works?
Last year, WhatsApp added the ability to reply to a particular message on both Android and iOS platforms. For example, users can now reply separately to a message which they want in order to avoid the confusion in the conversation. Before the arrival of Swipe to Reply, Android users had to tap on a message and hit the reply button on top of the screen to give a reply to that particular message.
However, WhatsApp has now made it a lot easier for users. If a user is looking to give a reply to a message, just swipe from left and the message will be selected. Now start typing your message and press the send icon to give a reply. This feature was earlier introduced for iOS users, thanks to iOS’ gesture navigation. And it took nearly a year to roll out the same for WhatsApp for Android users.
