The OnePlus 6T has gone on sale on Thursday and is seeing a massive response from Indian buyers. It will not be an overstatement if we say that this new offering by OnePlus has stolen the hearts of many by bringing some noteworthy improvements over the previous OnePlus 6. The new phone does not only come with a better design but also brings an in-display fingerprint scanner along with the latest Android 9 Pie. A new leak has recently surfaced which hints towards the launch of a new Thunder Purple edition of OnePlus 6T. Given that OnePlus has previously indulged its buyers into buying different colour variants of its phone like the Lava Red and Silk White, a new Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T does not seem far-fetched.

OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple Possibly the Next Release

The leak was made by a Twitter user Ishan Agrawal who spotted the listing of OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple variant on the OnePlus India Support Page. In the drop-down menu which lists all the available OnePlus devices, Ishan spotted a unique listing which highlighted a OnePlus 6T model in the Thunder Purple variant. Since the news might have spread fast, the listing was soon removed, revealing that this was indeed a mistake on the company’s part and that the leakster was actually lucky to spot this new colour option.

Ishan Agrawal went on Twitter to reveal about the OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple edition. Another tweet was found by the user '@_buzzoriginal_’ which showed an Amazon listing of OnePlus 6T in the same colour variant. Given that OnePlus 6T now only retails in the Mirror Black and Midnight Black colour options, it would definitely be nice to see a different colour scheme of Thunder Purple on the OnePlus 6T.

Given OnePlus’ knack for teasing its uniquely coloured variants of the phones, the OEM is also expected to launch a teaser for the Thunder Purple variant soon in the coming weeks. This teaser is bound to generate some hype for this new colour variant of the OnePlus 6T, and it is expected that people will come by the masses to get their hands on the new Thunder Purple variant of the phone.
