Apple Watch Series 4 Now Available for Purchase in India at a Starting Price of Rs 40,900

Apple Watch Series 4 which was launched just a few days back along with the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone Xr has gone live for sale in India. The price tag of the newly launched Apple Watch Series 4 has been pegged at Rs 40,900 for the 40mm GPS-only version. However, the 44mm Cellular Milanese Loop variant may cost Rs 80,900 to the buyers. There are also other 44mm cellular editions of the Apple Watch Series 4 with an aluminium case.

Apple Watch Series 4: Price and Specifications

The GPS version of the Apple Watch costs Rs 40,900 for the 40mm variant of the watch, where the price tag is Rs 43,900 for the 44mm for the same specification. The Apple Watch Series 4 Cellular edition 40mm variant with an aluminium case, on the other hand, will be available with a price tag of Rs 49,900. For the Apple Watch Series 4, buyers will have the option of choosing from the colour options including Silver, Space Grey, and Gold aluminium case options. The stainless-steel case model of the Apple Watch Series 4 model will be available in Space Black and Gold colour options along with the standard steel colours variant.

There is also a stainless steel 40mm variant of the Apple Watch Series 4 which starts retailing for Rs 67,900. The same option which comes with Milanese Loop wristband will bear a price tag of Rs 76,900. The 44mm sports band variant will be available for Rs 71,900, on the other hand.

Apple Watch Series 4 which comes in two sizes of 40mm and 44mm sports the Apple S4 SoC which is a 64-bit dual-core processor and it comes with a new GPU. The Apple Watch Series 4 comes with new accelerometer and gyroscope which enable it to detect hard falls.

Further, the Watch presents twice as much improvement in speed and efficiency owing to its processor. On top of that, Apple has also embedded the new Apple Watch with electrical heart rate, optical heart rate sensors to record an ECG using the new ECG app. This functionality will be first available in the US, and later it will come to India.

On the software front, the Apple Watch Series 4 will run watchOS 5 which will come with a much louder speaker offering 40% improvement in audio over its predecessor. As per the claims, the sound on this Watch has been optimised for phone calls, Siri, and Walkie-Talkie. The digital Crown of the Apple Watch Series 4 has also been claimed to support haptic feedback now.

Apple Watch Series 4: Launch Offers and Availability

Right now the Apple Watch Series 4 is being stocked by offline retailers while the other online stores like Amazon are in the process of listing the watch for selling. Amazon is going to be listing the 40mm, and 44mm GPS-only version of the watch, whereas Flipkart’s website, still shows ‘coming soon’ for the Apple Watch Series 4's availability.

IndiaiStore has listed that buyers using EMI from Citibank credit cards and Axis Bank will get 5% cashback on the purchase of Apple Watch Series 4, where buyers will get 5X reward points on non-EMI purchase. The retailers will also facilitate no-cost EMI via Bajaj Finserv wherein the effective monthly cost of the gadget will only be Rs 1,799, for the Apple Watch Series 4 GPS+ Cellular 40mm Space Grey Aluminium Case version with Black Sports Band. This will be the figure for buyers opting for a 24-month tenure via Axis Bank Credit Cards and Citi Credit Cards after the 5% cashback.
