Tata Docomo users across the country will soon be part of Bharti Airtel's network and most of them are already using services from the latter under ICR agreement. Once the Airtel merger completes, users will be able to recharge via Airtel's website itself, like how Telenor users are now recharging their mobile numbers. But right now, Docomo prepaid users have to recharge on Tata Docomo website itself and the telco has some attractive plans on offer. With its attractive prepaid plans, Docomo even bettered Jio in some aspects; For example, it has a Rs 98 plan which gives 1.4GB daily data for 24 days, something which Jio is not offering. Now, Tata Docomo has revised its Rs 179 prepaid recharge, which provides better data benefit and comes with the same validity.

How Does the Rs 179 Recharge Compare Against Incumbent Telcos Tariff Plans?

Reliance Jio has a Rs 149 prepaid plan which gives a user 1.5GB of 4G data every day for 28 days, along with unlimited calling and SMS benefits. On the other hand, Airtel recently launched a Rs 168 prepaid plan which gives a user 1GB of daily data, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit. Both Jio and Airtel are offering voice calls without any limit, while Docomo is limiting the calls though.

Vodafone has a segmented plan of Rs 159, with which it's also offering 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls. All the telcos- Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular have a Rs 199 recharge which offers 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. Vodafone Idea is still limiting voice calls to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.

Docomo Also Has a Data-Only Prepaid Plan of Rs 98

In other news, Tata Docomo also has a data-only prepaid plan of Rs 98, under which the telco is giving 1.4GB 2G/3G daily data for 28 days. This plan from Docomo competes with BSNL's Data Tsunami pack of Rs 98 which provides a user 1.5GB of daily data for 28 days.
