Today has been a big day for the formerly Oppo sub-brand Realme as it has announced the Realme 5s in India along with the Realme X2 Pro. While the Realme 5s, as the name suggests, is a bumped up version of the very popular Realme 5, the Realme X2 Pro is what interests most of the fans of the brand. To recall, the Realme X2 Pro was launched in China in October, and it is not one of the usual Realme phones which attacks the budget segment but makes a leap beyond that. The Realme X2 Pro competes with much higher smartphones like the Redmi K20 Pro and even the OnePlus 7T, at least in pricing. There are a lot of highlights about the Realme X2 Pro which draws eyeballs towards this device, and some of them happen to be a 90Hz display, the processor it comes with and the quad-camera setup, it sports. Here is all the information that we now know about the Realme X2 Pro and its Indian pricing.




Realme X2 Pro: Specifications and Features

The new Realme X2 Pro features a 6.5-inch Ful HD+ display rendering a resolution of 2400x1080. The display on the Realme X2 Pro is a Super AMOLED one, and it has a waterdrop notch design. One of the notable things about the Realme X2 Pro is that it comes with the 90Hz refresh rate and a whopping 1000 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There is also support for HDR10+ on the phone, and as for the colours on the device, the phone supports the entire DCI-P3 colour space. The Realme X2 Pro also boasts of an in-display fingerprint sensor which has been claimed to open the device in 0.23 seconds.

When it comes to actual performance, the Realme X2 Pro sports the Snapdragon 855+ SoC inside which is paired up with Adreno 640 GPU for graphics. The starting variant of the Realme X2 Pro will pair up this chipset with 6GB RAM, but there would also be, 8GB and 12GB RAM options available with up to 256GB internal storage. It is also worth noting that the 128GB and 256GB variants will come with UFS 3.0 storage which would speed up the reading and writing on the storage. Under the hood, the Realme X2 Pro features a 4000mAh battery, and it comes with support for 50W Super VOOC fast charging, meaning that it can go from zero to 80% in a matter of 30 minutes. The Realme X2 Pro boasts of other features as well which include Dolby Atmos support, Tactile Linear Motor for better haptic feedback, Hi-Res audio, and Ultra-Linear dual speakers.

When it comes to the optics of the Realme X2 Pro, the phone sports a quad-camera setup which comprises of a 64MP primary sensor, which as you can expect is the Samsung ISOCELL GW1, in addition to this primary shooter, there is also a 13MP telephoto lens which supports 20x hybrid zoom. Lastly, there is also an 8MP super wide-angle lens on the Realme X2 Pro and also an 8MP macro sensor, as opposed to a 2MP macro sensor which we get to see on the like of Redmi Note 8 lately. On the front, the Realme X2 Pro comes with a 16MP selfie shooter.

Realme X2 Pro: Pricing and Availability

The Realme X2 Pro comes in two colour variants- Neptune Blue and Lunar White. Realme also unveiled a Master Edition of the Realme X2 Pro which features unique back panel and it will be available in 12GB+256GB storage variant. Moving onto the pricing, the Realme X2 Pro comes in only two variants- 8GB+128GB priced at Rs 29,999 and the 8GB+256GB variant costs Rs 33,999.

The phone will be available on Flipkart and Realme.com and the first sale will be on November 26.

Realme 5s Announced as an Upgrade to Realme 5 With 48MP Lens

At the same event, Realme also announced an upgraded version of the Realme 5 in India. Dubbed as the Realme 5s, the phone features 48MP quad-camera setup, unlike the 16MP quad-camera setup we got on the Realme 5. The Realme 5s comes in a new colour option- Crystal Red. Rest of the specs of the Realme 5s are very much similar to the Realme 5- Snapdragon 665 SoC, 6.5-inch HD+ display, 5000mAh battery and up to 128GB of internal storage. The 48MP sensor used by Realme on the Realme 5s is the Samsung ISOCELL GM1.

As for the pricing, the Realme 5s comes in two variants- 4GB+64GB priced at Rs 9,999 and the 4GB+128GB variant will be available at Rs 10,999. Realme confirmed that the company would be selling the Realme 5 alongside the Realme 5s. The first sale of the Realme 5s will be on November 29 at 12 PM exclusively on Flipkart.
