Vodafone now offers up to 67% more data for prepaid users

Vodafone, today announced a month-long Vodafone Delights bonanza for its customers. Kick starting this bonanza is the enhanced data benefit on most of its pre-paid packs. Customers can now enjoy up to 67% more benefits on their existing packs. This additional value will enable them to enjoy their mobile internet experience further by staying online longer and accessing more of their favorite content. It will also make the Internet more affordable for customers who use mobile internet in a limited way and encourage first-time users to come online.


Under the revised data benefits, the 3GB 3G/4G monthly recharge pack which was earlier priced at approx. Rs. 650 will now offer 5 GB data, an increase of 67% data quota. Similarly, the Rs. 449 3G/4G pack now offers 50% more data by increasing the data benefit to 3 GB from 2 GB. The Rs. 999 3G/4G pack will now offer 10 GB data, offering 54% more benefits.

The Rs.39 2G sachet pack with 5-day validity now offers 225MB data vs 160 MB, an increase of 41%, while the Rs. 12 3G/4G sachet pack with 1-day validity now offers 50 MB data vs 30MB, an increase of 67%.

The pack prices mentioned are indicative and may vary from circle to circle.

We are democratizing data by making it more affordable and accessible. This is key to driving usage and encouraging first time users to come online. We are confident that this move of offering up to 67% additional data benefit on select pre-paid packs, will facilitate in faster adoption of data and its better usage.”

Does one needs to be a subscriber of ‘Vodafone® Delights™’ programme in order to avail these revised tariffs or is it just that the “PR-language” of this article is confusing me?? :s Unlike most of such comments, I would like to clarify further that the basis of my response is that I got this checked yesterday via the iOS®’ version of ‘My Vodafone®’ app on my father’s gadget and found out there’s No Change whatsoever! When compared relatively to other operators of Uttar Pradesh (East) mobile circle, how well does the Vodafone network perform there? Some say it is comparatively better than Airtel, BSNL and !dea, but, a first hand info would be welcome.

2G coverage is quite good, 3G not that good. 3G ok wherever present. It is better compared to Airtel & Idea. But audio is sometimes not very pleasant especially in high density, multistory areas. Internet speeds probably the best wherever i’ve tested although not sure about all the areas. I’ve received ~6-10mbps. Idea, in my experience has the best voice quality but coverage wise, still several blackspots. It was the newest amongst other still made its way.
