Telecom service provider Vodafone India has launched ‘Vodafone Angel stores’ in Ambala that would be run and managed entirely by women employees. In order to strengthen its commitment towards women empowerment, Vodafone has launched the retail outlets and the store was formally inaugurated by Mohit Narru, Business Head – Haryana circle, Vodafone India.
“The Vodafone Angel store boasts of only women staff members, including security, pantry staff, customer service resources as well as management level personnel. The retail outlet caters to a large residential populace of the area and is a one stop shop for all Vodafone as well as prospective customers,” the company said in a statement.
Narru said: “We believe economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development. The Angel store is Vodafone’s endeavour to provide our women employees with one of the most secure and productive working environments in the city.
