Idea launches special Data Booster packs for postpaid users in Delhi & NCR

After the recent data hikes in postpaid plans, Idea has now come up with a new 'Data Booster' pack for its postpaid users in Delhi and NCR circle. The data usage is surging these days and 1GB of 3G data now costs around Rs. 300, which is much higher than the prepaid data rates. So, Idea has launched this lower-priced 'Data Booster’ packs, which can be added on top of any postpaid plans.

Telecom companies, especially Vodafone & Idea, are trying very hard to keep their customers binding with them by discounting offers in the postpaid segment as they are facing threat because Airtel announced 4G data packs at 3G prices, and their 4G networks are live in many main cities. The new Rs. 399 Data Booster pack will give you additional 4GB 3G usage for 14 days in the bill period. While Data Booster pack of Rs. 499 will offer more validity and 1GB of extra data than the first pack.You can get more details in the table below.

Recently Idea has withdrawn old packs of Rs. 155, Rs. 175, Rs. 195, Rs. 255 & introduced new packs with higher prices. You will have to spend Rs. 200 for 1GB of data over 2G speeds, which was earlier priced at Rs. 175.

Idea, will also be launching its 4G services in Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, North East, Tamil Nadu and Orissa, in a phased manner. The service will be deployed across these areas on 1800 MHz spectrum band and the necessary steps are already initiated. The launch will most probably occur between January to March.
