GDS Launches Nusajaya Tech Park Data Center Campus in Johor, Malaysia
Developer and operator of high-performance data centres, GDS announced the launch of its Nusajaya Tech Park Data Center in Johor, Malaysia, last week. According to GDS, the GDS Nusajaya Tech Park Data Center Campus, also known as GDS NTP Data Center Campus, is the first data centre that the company has launched in Southeast Asia.

Nusajaya Tech Park Data Center Campus

According to GDS, The Nusajaya Tech Park Data Center Campus consists of several data centres, and phase 1 of the campus (NTP1, NTP2, and NTP3) covers a net floor area of 22,500 sqm with a total IT power capacity of 69.5 MW. The campus is said to be designed with advanced green features and operated using GDS’s innovative Smart DC solution. This solution enables swift delivery within 14 months of NTP1 and ensures high efficiency and low-carbon operations.

Strategic Importance

GDS said it strategically positioned its data centres in key cities within the Sijori region, including Singapore, Johor (Malaysia), and the Riau Islands Province (Indonesia). This positioning allows GDS to play a crucial role in driving the digitalization of the entire region, serving the growing digital demands of the AI-driven era.
