Vantage Data Centers Breaks Ground on Second Cyberjaya Campus in Malaysia

Vantage Data Centers Breaks Ground on Second Cyberjaya Campus in Malaysia
Vantage Data Centers has commenced construction on its second hyperscale data center campus (KUL2) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The company announced this week that it has broken ground on the campus. The new 35-acre campus, adjacent to Vantage's existing KUL1 site, will provide 256 MW of IT capacity upon full build-out to support cloud adoption and the expansion of AI services. The campus will also include a dedicated substation for swift and flexible expansion.

KUL2 Campus Expansion

Vantage said the KUL2 campus is part of its USD 3 billion investment in Malaysia, with the aim of building the largest hyperscale data center campus in Cyberjaya. Combined with KUL1, Vantage will offer 287 MW of IT capacity in Malaysia.

"Today marks a significant milestone for Vantage APAC. Our KUL2 development strengthens our market-leading position in Malaysia while contributing to the nation’s digital economy," said Vantage APAC.

Electricity Supply Agreement with TNB

In addition, Vantage has signed an Electricity Supply Agreement with TNB, Malaysia's electricity company, for a 500 MVA-rated power capacity via a dedicated 275 kV high-voltage substation for KUL2, the official release said.

Vantage's APAC portfolio includes 452 MW of operational and planned IT capacity across five markets: Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
