Ooredoo Kuwait has officially rolled out its 400 Mbps internet speeds through its subsidiary, FASTtelco. This development follows Ooredoo Kuwait’s announcement in May about its preparedness to launch 400 Mbps fibre internet service, a first in Kuwait, as reported by TelecomTalk.
Ooredoo Kuwait highlighted its dedication to driving digital transformation and fostering a smart ecosystem by offering up to 400 Mbps fibre internet speeds in residential areas. This sets a new standard in the telecom industry and meets customers’ high-speed connectivity needs.

The initiative to offer high-speed internet is aligned with the Ministry of Communications strategy, involving the replacement of outdated ONT devices in key areas such as Al Bida’a, Rumaythiya, Salwa, and Salmiya, with devices supporting the elevated speeds, stated Ooredoo Kuwait.
Cutting-Edge Technology
The company stated: “This move highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and establishing a resilient fibre optic network that raises Kuwait’s speed standards to global benchmarks.”

According to Ooredoo, this technology is highly resistant to electrical interference and electromagnetic fields, making it perfect for use in areas close to high-voltage power lines. The infrastructure can transmit over 10,000 megabytes per second over extensive distances without any signal disruption.
Fiber+ Service
Further, in collaboration with Huawei, Ooredoo Kuwait has launched the Fiber+ service, which redefines internet coverage within residential spaces. It is compatible with both fibre internet and 5G fixed subscriptions for consistent coverage.
