For the first time ever, Samsung might launch a Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy Note series smartphone in India. As per the import listings from Zauba, it appears that Samsung might launch the Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910GZWEINU) in India. According to the information available on Geekbench score listings, the Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910G features a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. This listing also reveals a possible MRP pricing of the device which could be Rs. 61,500 but as always, the MOP could be much lower than that.

Good news is that, this variant of the Galaxy Note 4 features 4G LTE connectivity over FDD-LTE (Band 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8) and TDD-LTE bands (Band 38, Band 40). Samsung is launching the Galaxy Note 4 in India on October 15 and it will be available for purchase in India from October 17.

As per the preliminary reviews, the Snapdragon 805 variant of the Galaxy Note 4 has received praise for its long battery life, especially considering that it has a QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy Note 4 also features additional hardware components such as special touchscreen digitiser for S Pen, a fingerprint scanner, UV sensor, gesture sensor, heart-rate monitor, and SpO2 sensor.

Other features of the Galaxy Note 4 include a 16-megapixel camera (Sony IMX240 sensor) with autofocus lens, optical image stabilisation, LED flash, and 4K video recording ability. Samsung has also improved the front-facing camera with a 3.7-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens.

Earlier this year, Samsung had launched only 3G (42Mbps HSDPA) version of the Galaxy S5 in spite of its high price. After much criticism, Samsung launched a 4G LTE variant of the Galaxy S5 with Snapdragon 801 processor. Looks like Samsung doesn't want to repeat its mistake as the LG G3, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus come with 4G LTE compatibility in India. You might want to have a look at things which need to be considered while buying a 4G LTE smartphone in India.
