In a bid to offer latest VAS content through app, Vodafone has now launched a new app called ‘Vodafone Play’ on the Google Play store for Android users. The app offers unlimited content like live TV, free music, and movie titles from different genres. However, the app is limited to Vodafone customers who are on 3G or 4G connections.

Basically, Vodafone Play is a gateway app that offers streaming content, but customers have to install different apps from the app drawer to get exclusive movies and music. For this app, Vodafone has partnered with streaming content players, HooQ & Hungama. The app also offers an improved program guide for live TV shows. Customers can also set reminders for their favourite shows .
Vodafone is also offering free content for those who install the app .
• Offer for Vodafone 4G subscribers:
Free 90 days access to native Live TV channels.
Free 90 days access to premium subscription pack (currently worth Rs.1344 approx.) for Hungama Play and HOOQ.
Free streaming on Vodafone Music
• Offer for Vodafone 3G subscribers:
Free 30 days access to native Live TV channels.
Free 30 days access to premium subscription pack (currently worth Rs.448) for Hungama Play and HOOQ.
Free streaming on Vodafone Music.
As Vodafone is focusing on 4G services and app ecosystem to drive data growth, app like Vodafone Play would surely help the company to counter Airtel Wynk & Reliance Jio’s apps from rival networks.
