India's second largest telecom operator, Vodafone, has now come up with a great data offer. However, this offer is on promotional basis and for limited to Vodafone prepaid users only. Recently, Vodafone launched 'Double Data' offer on data recharges, but those data packs were different as customers were getting data offers as per their usage on *121# .
In the new offer, the company is bundling Double Data on a package of 3 months. Customers can recharge with Rs. 747 to get 1GB data and an additional 1GB data for 3 months. Data balances will be credited every month automatically. Heavy data users can recharge with Rs. 1,347 to get 2GB data with an additional 2GB data for 3 months.

Vodafone 3G data packs cost almost Rs. 255 in every circles for 1GB, so it is true that these new bundling double data offers are 'cheap' compared to regular data packs. These offers are promotional, and eligible customers will have to recharge from My Vodafone app or from the company's official site (www.Vodafone.in). Also, please note that these offers are valid only for 3 days; 28, 29, and 30 August 2015.

Vodafone invested a lot of capital and manpower to spread 3G networks even in villages, and they are now facing serious threat as Reliance Jio is nearing its launch. Airtel has launched 4G LTE in many cities, and announced that it will launch 4G in 300+ cities. Operators are pushing down prices of 4G LTE data to encourage more users to use 4G services, which could give telcos a big amount of revenue. To counter them, Vodafone is trying to bind its prepaid users with monthly bundling data packs which offers ‘double data'.
