Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi Pad Pro 5G in India. The company also launched other products including the Redmi Pad SE 4G, and the Xiaomi 14 Civi Limited Edition with the Panda design. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is the most exciting product in the lineup. This new tablet has our attention due to obvious reasons - a) it is 5G enabled, and b) its price is pretty attractive. However, what I would be cautious about is the chipset. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 used in the tablet isn't a flagship chip, and thus, I am not sure, how well you can multi-task in this tablet. Firstly, there's a Redmi Pad Pro and a Redmi Pad Pro 5G. The Redmi Pad Pro has launched for Rs 21,999 with 6GB+128GB. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G has launched in two variants 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB for Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999. There's a Rs 2,000 discount with credit cards (ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank).
The Redmi Smart Pen will start at Rs 3999, the Redmi Pad Pro for Rs 3999, and the Redmi Pad Pro cover for Rs 1499. The sale will start on August 2, 2024, at 12 PM, on Amazon and Flipkart.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G Specifications in India
Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with 2.5k resolution. It supports Dolby Vision and up to 120Hz refresh rate. There's Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC clocked at 2.4 GHz. The internal storage is up to 256GB, but you can expand it up to 1TB with the help of a microSD card. The tablet runs on the latest HyperOS, based on Android 14.
There's a single 8MP shooter on the back, and an 8MP shooter at the front. It has a 10000mAh battery with up to 33W fast-charging. There is cellular support, so you can put your SIM on the tablet.
