Follow Us

Nokia's comeback is no more a speculation as the company has finally launched its first device - the Nokia 6 in China. The Finnish brand had been up on rumor charts for quite some time. Recently, reports sprung up talking about how Nokia is planning to launch six phones this year. However, extinguishing these rumours, Nokia recently confirmed that it would be bringing out two new phones in 2017.

The MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 event is nearing and HMD Global has already booked a space there, which means that Nokia could launch a new device at the event and it might also share availability details for these devices for markets like India, US, and others.

We have curated a few rumoured and official Nokia devices that might soon debut in India. Keeping in mind the popularity Nokia enjoyed in India a decade ago, many of you might even be planning to buy an Android-powered Nokia smartphone whenever it goes up for sale. Ever since the launch, Nokia 6 has been a huge success in China. The phone got sold out within seconds. Nope, it was not a flash sale, but still, the stocks were not enough for the exceeding demand. The phone is being sold through an exclusive partnership store in China, and we do hope Nokia will enter Indian market pretty soon. So yeah, Nokia 6 is one of the devices to look up to. The Nokia 6 comes with following specs:

Nokia 8 is being pitched as the flagship that will make it to the stage at MWC 2017. It might come out in two variants; wherein one model could come powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, Carl Zeiss 24MP rear camera, 12MP front camera, and 64GB/128GB storage. The other variant might feature a Snapdragon 821 chip and 4GB of RAM; rest of the specs of the second variant are still not known.

It is codenamed "Heart" and is listed with specs such as - 5.2in 720p screen, Android 7.0 Nougat, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, 8MP front camera and 12MP rear camera.

Re-branded N-Series in the works?

Back to the old days?
Back to the old days?

These are not the only rumored ones, yesterday, another report came up, which stated that Nokia has filed for a new trademark "NSeries". Well, we are sure many of you would still remember the popular N-series phones that Nokia made a decade ago. Maybe, to revive the popularity, the company is seeking to use the old names that will ring the bell and attract more buyers.

For now, except for the Nokia 6, other aforementioned phones are still under the "rumoured" tag. So, we are very much looking forward to the MWC 2017 event to see these phones in the flesh. Stay tuned with us for more info about Nokia's upcoming phones.
