Beeline has introduced mobile communication services at the newly opened Potapovo station on the Sokolnicheskaya metro line. The company has also activated base stations at four upcoming stations on the Troitskaya line—Novatorskaya, Universitet Druzhby Narodov, Generala Tyuleneva, and Tyutchevskaya—which will open in the coming days. From day one, passengers at these stations will enjoy high-speed mobile internet and VoLTE calls, both in station vestibules and while travelling on the trains, Beeline said on Thursday.

Consistent 4G Coverage Across Moscow Metro
With average internet speeds of 130 Mbps and maximum speeds reaching up to 300 Mbps, Beeline said its network ensures smooth usage for activities like messaging, video streaming, and online browsing.
Beeline claims it has maintained the highest average mobile internet download speed and service continuity within the Moscow metro for three consecutive years. Its network covers all stations, platforms, escalators, and passageways, providing 4G access throughout the metro system.
Statement on Network Expansion
"Our network is growing and developing together with the Moscow Metro so that millions of passengers a day can stay connected underground and use their usual services both at stations and while trains are moving," said the Director of the Moscow Region for PJSC VimpelCom (Beeline).
"We plan all work on the construction of new infrastructure in the metro in advance so that from the first day of the opening of stations we can provide customers with continuous access to 4G. This means that when travelling by metro, we can not only quickly and without traffic jams get to our destination, but also spend time usefully, answer messages, sort out work emails, or just relax while watching our favourite movie."
