Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has teased the arrival of 4G networks for people living in Mumbai and Delhi. The company didn’t directly say that people in Mumbai and Delhi will soon get its 4G, but shared a video where both BSNL and MTNL logos were present and high-speed connectivity was being discussed. It is not a secret that BSNL is operating the mobile networks of MTNL.
It is also worth noting here that Suyog Telematics, a recently listed company will deploy 500+ towers for MTNL in FY25. The company will also deploy 3000+ towers for Vodafone Idea (Vi) and BSNL in the same year.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) operates its business in the geographical confinements of Mumbai and Delhi. However, the government decided that BSNL would now handle MTNL operations due to bad performance over the years. Going forward, BSNL will not just handle the mobile network business, but will also handle the entire MTNL operations. MTNL will continue to exist as a brand, but all the services in the backend will be handled by BSNL.
The state-run telecom operator has been deploying homegrown 4G stack sites throughout India. Upon its last announcement, BSNL had deployed 25000+ 4G sites, and now the wait for another update from the company continues. The speed at which BSNL was deploying 4G has increased as the government is now more focused towards turning BSNL profitable.
