Huawei's sub-brand - Honor has come up with yet another device for the Indian market. The new device is dubbed as the Honor 8, which was first launched in China, back in July this year. The company showcased the Honor 8 at a press meet in Goa, Panaji. Honor has not revealed the launch date and pricing for the smartphone in India. We expect the device to go on sale in the coming weeks.

The key feature of the Honor 8 smartphone is its dual-camera setup, something that we have already seen on Huawei's P9. On Honor 8, there are two 12-megapixel rear cameras, placed side by side. The primary lens of the dual camera is integrated with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, BSI CMOS sensor, laser autofocus, and 1080p video recording capability. The second lens is responsible for capturing in-depth information of the subject, to re-focus on the scene, and absorb better lighting for perfect clicks. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on board with a f/2.4 aperture.

For other specifications, the Honor 8 features an all-metal design with a fingerprint scanner placed on the rear of the device. The device comes with a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display and is powered by a Huawei's exclusive HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core chipset. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. It comes in two RAM and storage variants - 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage.

Expected Pricing for India:

In China, the Honor 8 was launched at 1,999 Yuan (Rs. 20,497) for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, and 2,499 Yuan (Rs. 25,068) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model. Basing our expectation on the similar price chart, we expect the device to launch at the same pricing in India or maybe less for better competition.
