Moto G (2nd Gen) finally starts receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India

Well, Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen users in India have been waiting for this moment for quite a while. The company has finally begun the roll out of Android 6.0 update to its Moto G (2nd Gen) smartphone in India. The update is currently being rolled out to both the 4G LTE and 3G variants around the country. Last month, we reported about the release of update notes by Motorola and today, the roll out has finally started.

The update has been released in India after a couple of weeks of soak testing. Motorola launched the soak test in Brazil too, but the region is yet to get the public roll out.

For all the Moto G 2nd Gen users in India, if the update notification has not appeared on your device yet, then you can also check for the update manually. Simply go to Settings > About Phone > System Update on your smartphone. If the update does not show up even after manual check, then you gotta wait for some time as it usually takes time before hitting your device.Moto-G-2nd-Gen

Here is a heads up about the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Moto G (2nd Gen). The version for the update has been named as v24.41.34, which is 464.2MB in size. The update brings along Android security update (patches) for January. It will also introduce a host of new features such as overhauled app permissions, Doze, Google Now on Tap, battery-smart features, Android Pay, and many more.

Motorola had been up to a lot of action lately, the company rolled out the Android 6.0 update to its devices such as Moto G 3rd Gen, Moto X Style, Moto X Play. We can’t help but point out that Motorola is indeed making a good mark when it comes to rolling out updates.
