Vodafone India, India’s second-largest telecom company, has launched a pre-approved ‘chhota credit’ of Rs 10 to all pre-paid customers in a bid to ensure smooth communication in flood-hit Chennai.
The company would also provide a credit of 10 minutes for Vodafone to Vodafone calling. In addition, free 100MB mobile data is being offered to all customers with data enabled handsets. The validity of the talk time credit and free data is two days, a company statement said.
For postpaid customers whose bills are due for payment immediately, the time to make the payment is being extended, it added. Today, top telecom operator Bharti Airtel has also announced free of cost credit service for all its prepaid customers.
The company has launched an auto approval of ‘Talk Time’ credit up to Rs 30 for its prepaid mobile customers and free of cost credit of 10 minutes of Airtel-to-Airtel calling with a validity of two days. Besides, there would be free of cost credit service for 50MB mobile data for prepaid customers with a validity of two days. For postpaid and fixed line customers, Airtel has extended the deadline to make the payment.
