The mobile BTS towers are like ‘Network on Wheels’ and they can be deployed anywhere across the vicinity based on customer requirements. Vodafone India is closely working with the organisers and Government authorities of the IITF to deploy these BTS towers, a release said.

It also addresses network issues on war-footing with addition of around 20-30 sites across Delhi every week and augmentation of existing sites. The company has also been regularly doing drive tests in Delhi to see and identify pockets where there are concerns and is working on a war footing to resolve them.

It has invested more than Rs 350 crore to modernize and upgrade existing voice and data network in Delhi. During the period of April-October 2015, Vodafone has put up over 730 3G/2G sites in Delhi NCR, while the capacity of the existing 550 sites has been augmented.

Today, Vodafone has a total of 12,605 sites in Delhi NCR, which includes 6,190 2G sites and 6,415 3G sites. The company has over 98 lakh subscribers in the region.
