The Android 5.1 Lollipop update is not being rolled out in the OTA (over-the-air) format, which means that users are needed to download the specific update ZIP file for their device from the official Huawei India website. After the download, users need to follow the instructions inside the ZIP file in order to install the update on their device.

Here is the change-log for the Android 5.1 update on the Huawei Honor 4C and Honor 6:

  • Notifications on the home screen
  • Addition of search bar in the settings
  • Time-lapse feature in the video-recording
  • Hidden Apps feature to hide the apps on the home screen
  • Badge App icons
