The complaints against Tata Sky DTH has been around for a while at different parts of the country. From earlier disruptions, the reason behind this service shut down seems to be the satellite upgrade, which is used for transmitted the signals for DTH. Telecom Talk has earlier reported on this.

Recently, the company has been carrying its technology upgrade, following which its 30,000 subscribers lost the services for few days. Similar issue were also found in March.

However, the company clarified that it had informed its subscribers prior through daily scrolls. Many of the customers negate this clarification. The lack of proper customer care makes the situation worse. The customers who register their service complaint through messages, mails and phone calls are responded with a static message of “Your work is pending, thank you for your patience”.

Above all, Tata Sky’s helpline number is charged although depicted as free. Every SMS sent also costs, which irk the customers more. The service provider seems to lose its subscribers soon, as many of them are planning to switch over to a new service provider due to this continuing disruption.
