Zomato announced the launch of BlackBerry Application for Indian Restaurant Directory cum Food Guide wherein the user look at the Menus, Contact details, Reviews, Photographs, Location and Discounts for Restaurants on their mobile phone itself.

Zomato apps is free to download mobile apps which allows users to search for nearby restaurants based on the their phone's GPS Based location or manually. BlackBerry Smartphone users can download this app at http://www.zomato.com/blackberry.




The application which has already popular on Android platform andrecorded over a 1000 downloads within the first 6 hours of its launch for BlackBerry smartphones.

Zomato.com, the website gets 300,000 visitors every month, is looking to further strengthen its reach in this growing restaurant search market by targeting corporates with this application.

The website is around 2 years old and is present in 6 cities across India – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Kolkata.

Deepinder Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO, Zomato said, “We are the first restaurant portal in the country to develop an Android application and we have now launched it for Blackberry users too. Users will be able to enjoy all the functionalities of our website on the Zomato application. Blackberry penetration is very high among corporates in India and our application aims at providing this consumer base an exhaustive list options for places to eat based on their location.”
