Vodafone Rs 1,999 Yearly Prepaid Plan With 1.5GB Daily Data Benefit Launched

Vodafone takes on Jio's Rs 1,699 plan by offering 1.5GB daily data with the Rs 1,999 prepaid plan

  • Vodafone is offering the Rs 1,999 prepaid plan in only Kerala circle at the moment
  • Some of the benefits include 100 SMS per day and unlimited calling

The trend of long term prepaid plans only seems to be increasing, aligned with the telecom operator’s goals of keeping the customers in the loop for the long term. Currently, the only thing that telecom operators want out of their customers is for them to stay with the companies for more and more days and to generate revenue for an extended period, thus the entry of year-long prepaid plans. Now we can see that every telco is coming out with prepaid plans which ship 365 days validity offering various benefits. With each passing day, the number of such plans only seems to be increasing. The latest release under this banner is the new year-long prepaid plan by Vodafone which comes at a price sticker of Rs 1,999. To know more about this plan read ahead.

Vodafone New 365 Days Validity Prepaid Plan for Rs 1,999

The first thing that subscribers should note about this newly launched Vodafone prepaid plan is that currently the offering is only limited to Kerala circle. The telecom operator has also not announced about its availability for customers in other circles. Also, it seems like the Rs 1,999 plan from Vodafone in Kerala is an open market one. However, there is a chance that it could also be soon rolled out as an open market plan across pan-India. When it comes to the benefits, the Rs 1,999 prepaid plan by Vodafone offers unlimited local, national and roaming calling to the subscribers. As for the data, the plan bundles 1.5GB 2G/3G/4G data per day for the users. Lastly, there is the added benefit of 100 SMS per day. The validity of this plan is 365 days.

To recall, Vodafone recently removed FUP limit on voice calling as the telco wants to offer truly unlimited voice calling benefit.

Vodafone Revises Price of 365 Days Validity Plan from Rs 1,499 to Rs 1,699

Subscribers of Vodafone should also keep in mind that only a few days back, the telecom operator had made a change in its year-long validity plan of Rs 1,499 and rereleased it with a new price tag. Vodafone announced that the plan which used to be available for Rs 1,499 would now be available for a slightly higher retail price of Rs 1,699. To recall, this is the same price at which many other prepaid plans retail with 365 days validity from different telcos. The company had added that for a few days, the Rs 1,499 and Rs 1,699 prepaid plans would be listed side by side in some regions.

In case you do not use mobile data that much, and you think that 1GB of data per day would be sufficient for your internet needs then you can also opt for the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan by Vodafone. On the other hand, for a Vodafone subscriber who would like to have a long-term solution for their data usage and calling needs, the newly launched Rs 1,999 prepaid plan seems to be a more appropriate choice.

Vodafone Rs 1,999 Plan vs Jio Rs 1,699 Prepaid Recharge

Reliance Jio started the trend of launching affordable yearly plans in the country. Last year, it brought the Rs 1,699 yearly plan which was followed by BSNL with a couple of similarly priced plans. Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel too joined the list by rolling out Rs 1,699 prepaid plans.

The Rs 1,699 prepaid plan from Jio comes with 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for 365 days. On the other hand, Vodafone is also providing similar benefits by charging Rs 300 more and it’s applicable only in Kerala circle at the moment. So Jio clearly has the upper hand.

Will bsnl Rs.2099 yearly plan give 6.2gb daily data, even after 30April2018, if I purchase it now? or will it give only 4gb daily data after 30April ? I really need confirmation regarding this. Or bsnl have the right to and can REDUCE the amount of daily 4g data given, from 6.2gb daily 3G data, to say 2-3gb daily 4G data, to the customers who have already bought the yearly 2099 plan in this month of feb2019 even,… Read more »
