Jio Brings Yet Another Annual Prepaid Plan Taking Competition to a New Level

Over the last few months, telecom operator Reliance Jio has been silent in the tariff department because it’s still offering the best prepaid plans in the industry and no other telco has been able to match it. After close to ten months, Reliance Jio has introduced a prepaid plan, but don’t get excited as it’s an annual plan, not a three-month or monthly prepaid plan. Jio has come up with an annual prepaid plan of Rs 1,699 taking the competition to a whole new level in the telecom industry. With the new prepaid plan, the telco is providing an excellent 1.5GB data per day, which takes the overall data benefit to 547.5GB for 365 days. Not only that, the telco has come up with a Diwali offer under which it’s offering 100% cashback to all the users on every prepaid plan.

Reliance Jio Rs 1,699 Prepaid Recharge: Benefits and Details

Jio’s new prepaid recharge of Rs 1,699 offers benefits for 365 days from the date of recharge. Jio users recharging with this plan can also enjoy unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day for the same validity period.

Notably, this is the cheapest yearly prepaid plan launched by any 4G telecom service provider in the country right now. I’ll recharge this next time. You must be wondering why.
I’ve got double data offer with new phone. Will get double data three times.
Recharged Rs399 plan at Rs349 got 3GB/day.
But normally I’ll get 1.5GB/day for 84 days.
If I choose Rs1649 plan I’ll get 365 days validity with 1.5GB/day + 1.5GB/day
With Rs349 recharge I would have to recharge Rs698 for 84 days.
So that’s Rs8.31/day. But with this I’ll pay Rs4.52/day.
Rs3.79/day savings or Rs1383/year saved.

So this plan is for Jio users who got new phone which offers double data. If you don’t need more data then no benefit for you.

Double data offer can’t be clubbed with 1699 offer. Confirmed with customer care on email.

In case you do this recharge please comment here if you got Double data or not. 😀

Daily 1.5 Gb is wasted being unused most of the time. Still No Data Roll Over Plan from Jio like Airtel 399 (40 Gb Rollover)

Jio Annual Prepaid Plan you have already published. Why promoting it again and again. Please mention if it is paid article by Jio.
Nobody should recharge Annual Prepaid Plan. It is a loss over quarterly plans. Calculate voucher discounts.
And the cash back plans are nothing, absolutely nothing. You need to buy 5000 from Reliance stores to utilize these 100/200/300 cashback vouchers.. these are non-sensible and time waste plans.
There is no Diwali Offer from Jio.
DO NOT recharge for the sake of these marketing gimmicks

But plans can be changed anytime. Some people want peace of mind. Those who want will recharge this plan, why are you so scared of giving few more rupees? Do u remember what paying users paid in pre-Jio era for a tenth of these benefits?

Agree. It’s a strategy to lock customers for a long time. Plus the customer is not getting any benefit for going long term,
ulta jyada pay karna pad raha hai aur wo 50-50 rs ke discount coupon jo pade hain unka kya achar daalenge ek saal tak ;p

Even locking to band 40 doesn’t work in Jio.

I am pretty much frustrated with Jio to be honest. Hardly anything working. Lost all the hopes from Jio in last few months. When I started using Jio in February 2016 I was hopeful of better things in 2018. But things got worse in due course for time. In Maharashtra there is propaganda against him since last two years. I don’t know why. But started hating him since demonetization. Also we don’t have any other option. Let’s see what happens.
