TRAI Strict On Activation of VAS Without Subscriber ConsentThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has shown its strictness on complaints of subscribers.

Wherein subscribers complained that various Value Added Services are activated on their mobile without their consent.

During the half yearly meetings of consumer advocacy groups several members highlighted this problem that VAS activated without their consent and money deducted from their account.

Now TRAI has issued instructions to all Telecom Operators that they should examine various aspects covering provisioning of VAS to customers Complaints received directly from customers, and to investigate the root cause and take action to solve the problems.

So we now ask you have you ever been a victim of balance deduction or activation of Value Added Service without your knowledge if yes do let us know via comments and do share the operator name .

I am using vodaphone Sim, VAS has been activated in my cell number..
Their actual funda to cheat customer is that….they used redirection techniques for example if we are visiting any site, they use click code to redirect us from that page to VAS activation page and then they start VAS without getting confirmation from customer…. Near abt 150 RS rental charges has been applied to their customer…. Please help us from this.

I am aircel bangalore customer and it happened not just once but many times.on calling their customer care they state that you only have activated this service on so and so date,which is totally bullshit.on asking for refund they simply say that if you want we can deactivate this service now but it cant be refunded since you only have activated it

Vodafone ! They have the least friendly customer care.. This has been the nth time a VAS has been activated on my number without my consent !! Do care.
