On August 12, Reliance Jio announced a lot of new services that it would be bringing to India for its very precious consumers. The Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator introduced a host of new services for the subscribers waiting for them. While a lot of people were waiting for the fibre-based broadband services, a lot of people were waiting for an announcement about the TV services from Reliance Jio as well. For these people, Reliance Jio made an announcement for Jio Set-Top Box which would run based on the JioFiber connection. Reliance Jio also conducted a demonstration on the stage showing the world how the set-top box would operate along with its features. Now, although the telecom operator did not show the pricing of this product, it did manage to garner significant interest and traction from the consumers. The major question among the people was how does this service differ from the already existing ones.

Differences Between Reliance Jio Set-Top Box and Other Operators Â
The major difference between the offering from Reliance Jio and the already existing ones is the entire range of features that Reliance Jio offers through the set-top box. There are similar options out there like Airtel Internet TV, but Jio’s entertainment solution console comes with a wide range of features that the other entertainment solutions do not offer. Also, Reliance Jio has announced that through the means of local cable operators (LCOs) like Hathway Cable and DEN Networks, the consumers will be able to access the channels on their TV as well.
