OnePlus TV will be launching in India next month (September), the company has officially confirmed today. OnePlus did not reveal the exact launch date of its Smart TV, but rumours hint at September 26 date. Furthermore, OnePlus announced that the OnePlus TV would be exclusive to Amazon India, like its smartphones. In addition, the 'Notify Me' button has already been enabled on Amazon.in as well. With the Notify Me button, interested customers can subscribe to receive the latest updates on OnePlus' first-ever TV up until launch and open sales. With the launch nearing, we're expecting OnePlus to share more details about the OnePlus TV in the coming days.

OnePlus TV Will First Reach India Before Any Other Market

India has been the biggest market for OnePlus when it comes to smartphones. The company also confirmed that India would be the first market to get the OnePlus TV, before any other market globally. OnePlus is already the leading premium smartphone player in the country, beating the likes of Samsung and Apple. The OnePlus 7 series also extended the company's lead at the top position, but with Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 out in the market, OnePlus might lose its top position. But it's also rumoured that the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro smartphones are already in the works to combat the new launches from Samsung, Apple, Huawei and so on.

OnePlus TV: What We Know So Far?

Earlier this week, OnePlus confirmed the name and logo of the OnePlus TV and confirmed that it will be exclusively available in India. OnePlus says it's committed to the vision of a connected home environment, hinting at exclusive Artificial Intelligence features on the OnePlus TV.

"OnePlus will continue to evolve the OnePlus TV, as well as the brand’s other mobile devices, to develop innovations that make sense for its users to always create the best experience possible," added the Chinese smartphone maker.

Before the company's logo reveal date, the OnePlus TV paid its visit to Bluetooth certification website, revealing the screen sizes. The Bluetooth SIG website has confirmed that the OnePlus TV will be available in three screen sizes- 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch, but we're expecting there would be smaller screen size models as well starting at 32-inch to take on Xiaomi's Mi TV range of Smart TVs in the country. And yes, all the OnePlus TV models might be Smart TVs to match Xiaomi in the Indian market.

OnePlus is known for delivering great software experience on their smartphones, but if the company manages to deliver the same on the upcoming OnePlus TV models, then it will be huge achievement since Smart TVs right now lack in the performance aspect.
