Earlier on 13th July, 2012, Loop Telecom filed a complaint with sector regulator TRAI and alleging that the total 5923 mobile numbers ported out from its network by using Fake UPC code (not generated by Loop Telecom) to various recipients operators. Out of these 5923 mobile numbers 5580 mobile numbers are related to 3 non-commercially launched service area (circles) and 343 mobile numbers from 6 other circle wherein Loop Telecom launched its services but not issued these numbers to any subscribers in respective circles.

Loop Telecom also said that all these numbers never activated in the system for subscriber use so this port out activity by Bharti Airtel, Reliance (Rcom and RTL), Tata Teleservices,  Aircel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone India is seems to be fraudulent activity.

The maximum number (5288) were ported in by Bharti Airtel in Himachal Pradesh (5277) and UP West (15) telecom circles, while Aircel -20, Idea Cellular 307, Reliance 51 (GSM and CDMA), Tata Teleservices 230 and Vodafone India ported in 19 mobile numbers from Loop Telecom illegally.
