Micromax Launches Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 Smartphones With VoLTE Support and Pre-loaded Google Duo

Micromax has come up with a new "Vdeo" range of budget smartphones, dubbed as Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2. With this new range, Micromax seems to be focusing on the video-calling feature as both the phones come pre-loaded with Google Duo and also a complementary Jio SIM card with 'Happy New Year Offer' including unlimited data, call and SMS usage till March 2017. The Vdeo 1 is priced at Rs. 4,440 while the Vdeo 2 is priced at Rs. 4,990.

Regarding design, both the devices feature a metal rear panel. The Vdeo 1 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display while the Vdeo 2 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display. Both the devices are powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core chipset paired with 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel front snapper. Both the phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and pack 8GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

For connectivity, both the Micromax Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 support dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and GPS. The Vdeo 1 is backed by a 1600mAh battery while an 1800mAh battery supports the Vdeo 2. Micromax will also launch Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 in coming months.

Commenting on the launch, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics said,"The Vdeo range is fully loaded with best-in-class features for an entry level Smartphone – including 4G VoLTE, Android Marshmallow, Quad core processors, great battery performance and housed in a premium and stylish metal body. We are extremely proud that we have managed to deliver this bundle of features in phones priced under Rs 5000."
