Idea Cellular, the third largest telecom operator in India, has launched some attractive postpaid plans for its old as well as new subscribers in the Kolkata circle. The operator has introduced new postpaid plans as they withdrew some popular postpaid packs, which were 'Horizon 299' & 'Navigator 499', as a part of revision in the postpaid segment.
As national MNP has implemented across all the regions, and as Reliance JIO is expected to launch its 4G network soon with affordable rates for both data & voice, every operator is in a fear of losing its subscriber base. Every other telco trying to bind its customers with low-cost offerings, door-step delivery of SIM, exciting offers, etc. Idea has also revamped its postpaid offers as other telcos like Vodafone are offering special postpaid offers for MNP customers, giving them huge cashbacks in some plans & sending out SMSes informing those offers to customers of others networks.
Idea has launched 4 new postpaid plans – Plan 299, Plan 375, Plan 499, and Plan 649 – that come with 3G data benefits with unlimited data at low speeds after crossing FUP, voice minutes & free SMSes. These plans also offers lower call rates post free minutes, and unlimited data capped at 2G speeds after the FUP limit. For more information, check the chart below.
