After Vodafone and Airtel, now Idea Cellular hikes its 2G data tariff by reducing free 2G Data usage up to 40% per cent approx in its most popular data packs including 1GB Mobile Internet – 2G Data pack of Rs.125.
Starting from Gujarat telecom circle, Idea Cellular has been cutting down on data freebies up to 40% approx to its customers, and increased the price of its 1 GB 2G data plan. Customers of Idea will now have to pay Rs.155 for 1GB of data, which had been Rs.126 before the price hike.
Idea customers in Gujarat circle will get just 625 MB 2G data usage valid for 21 days, almost 40% less with 2G data pack of Rs.126 Earlier this pack was offer 1GB 2G data for 30 days.
As of now Idea's 2G data rates revised in Gujarat circle only. We can expect the similar changes also happens for other circles too (as operator has done in December, 2012) however its not confirmed yet. So we advise that those are regular users of Idea 2G Internet - GPRS packs, must call to customer care, or enquire about the all new changes in current data packs before making a recharge.
Earlier Vodafone India and Bharti Airtel too, has made similar changes in its monthly plans and reduced data limits available under various prepaid plans in certain telecom circles (Karnataka, Mumbai, UP and more) as we reported on TelecomTalk.
