As expected, Huawei has finally announced the Honor 5C smartphone in India. The device is a successor to the Honor 4C, which was launched in 2015. It will be up for sale in Grey, Silver and Gold color options at Rs. 10,999, exclusively on Honor store and Flipkart through flash sale starting on June 30. The registrations for the first sale will begin from today. In addition, the Honor 5C comes with free screen replacement for one month and 15 months of warranty.

Coming on to the specs, the device features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display, and is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 650 16nm chipset. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 skin on top. It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. In addition, it also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear, which is touted by the company to unlock the device in 0.5 seconds. It offers multi-band 2G/3G connectivity (standard variant) along with Cat.6 LTE (4G version only) for speeds up to 300Mbps (maximum) and 50Mbps (minimum).
Commenting on the launch, Allen Wang of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India, said,“Honor smartphones are for the brave, people who are discerning and look to get the best in class and most innovative product and have a flair to keep up with their fast paced life. After the success of Honor 5X earlier this year, we are excited to introduce Honor 5c in Indian market and we are hopeful that we would continue to receive a great response from our consumers.
