Here comes another addition to the VR compatible smartphones, the new Gionee S6 Pro. It’s Gionee’s first launch in the VR segment.
Packed with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 2.5D Curved edge and Gorilla glass protection, Gionee S6 Pro comes with some high-tech features for VR lovers. There is a Gionee VR app loaded in the smartphone and is backed by a 4GB RAM. The phone has a spilt-screen option for the users to utilize two screen viewing option to use two different apps at the same time. Gionee is also introducing a VR headset. Gionee GStore provides VR games.
Backing the 4GB RAM is a 64GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. For the camera, Gionee S6 Pro features a 13MP SONY IMX258 in the rear with LED Flash, F2.0 large aperture, and 5P lens, offering quality pictures in low light conditions. The secondary camera is that of 8MP with LED flash and F2.2 large aperture. The phone runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system. For security, S6 Pro also packs a fingerprint scanner in the front.

Design-wise, the new Gionee VR smartphone comes wrapped in a metallic unibody and a 3D camber line back. S6 Pro supports both 4G and VoLTE. The phone comes with a powerful 3130 mAh battery.
As a launch offer, Saavn will provide a free three-month subscription to ‘Saavn Pro’ to S6 Pro users. S6 Pro will be available across India in color variants of Gold and Rose Gold, at a price of Rs. 23,999 and the VR Set will be available for Rs. 2,499. The device will be available for sale starting 1st October 2016 across stores.
