Speaking about the plans, the company has increased the data offering in four of their plans- Rs. 156, Rs. 198, Rs. 291, and Rs. 549. The Rs. 156 pack now gives 4GB of data with a validity of 10 days. The Rs. 156 plan now offers 7GB of 3G data valid for 28 days. Previously, the same Rs. 196 plan used to offer 3GB of data, but BSNL is offering extra 4GB of data especially for this Holi.

Other two schemes are Rs. 291 and Rs. 549 and they offer 14GB and 30GB data respectively. The Rs. 291 plan is valid for 28 days, whereas the Rs. 549 plan will be valid for 30 days. That said, these plans are live for only one week, i.e., from March 10 to March 17. So, the customers have to recharge before March 17 to enjoy the extra data benefits.

Also, there are some other talk time plans as well. Recharging with Rs. 190 talk time pack now gives 220 worth talk time, whereas recharging with Rs. 490 plan provides 600 worth of talk time. These two recharge plans are also valid for one week and will expire on March 17.

These plans are valid on Pan India basis, and the price of the plans might vary depending on the circle. Unlike, RCom's 'Joy of Holi' offers, which is only for new users, these offers from BSNL are valid for all the existing and new users of the operator.

With that said, BSNL's Rs. 549 plan is probably the best plan available in the market right now as it offers 30GB of 3G data with a validity period of 30 days. Besides, BSNL has recently partnered with Data Xgen to provide Linguistic Email service with free 100GB storage space. The best part of the service is that it offers 100GB storage space and is already open to join for select BSNL broadband customers.
