Bharti Airtel has completed deploying an additional 5 MHz of spectrum on the 1800 MHz band, enhancing its 4G network across Chandigarh and Punjab. This upgrade will boost Airtel's 4G network capacities, improving data speeds and providing significantly better coverage inside homes and buildings, both in urban and rural areas, Airtel said in a statement on Thursday.

Improved Network Performance and Coverage
Airtel customers across Chandigarh and Punjab can enjoy enhanced service quality for both voice and data. This deployment will also allow Airtel to offer wider coverage along highways and rail routes, as well as increase its footprint in rural areas, as the demand for connectivity continues to rise exponentially, the company said.
Commenting on the spectrum deployment, Bharti Airtel said, "With the integration of this new spectrum, customers across the state can now enjoy enhanced call connectivity, faster data speeds, and overall improved performance. Recent Spectrum Acquisition
With the acquisition of 97 MHz of spectrum in the recent auction, Airtel says it now holds the largest mid-band spectrum pool in the state, supporting both 4G and 5G services. The company is also re-farming mid-band spectrum for 5G to meet growing data demands.
With the deployment of additional spectrum across all 23 districts in the state now complete, Airtel customers can enjoy enhanced browsing speeds and better indoor coverage.
