Amantya Technologies Secures TTDF Funding for Indigenous 5G SA Core Development
Amantya Technologies has been awarded funding under the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme of the Universal Service Obligation Fund (now "Digital Bharat Nidhi") by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for its ambitious project, "Development of India 5G Stack."

5G Standalone Core Development

The initiative focuses on creating a carrier-grade, 3GPP Release 16/17 compliant 5G Standalone (SA) Core, designed for public and enterprise deployments. Building on its existing 5G SA Core, Amantya aims to develop a secure, scalable, and cloud-agnostic solution with advanced features like network slicing, QoS, URLLC, and mMTC. The system will also support geo-redundancy, high availability, and integration with third-party OSS/BSS and billing systems.

Cloud Agnostic and Flexible

The solution will work across platforms like Kubernetes, OpenStack, and OpenShift, allowing deployment on general-purpose hardware or cloud infrastructure, catering to public carriers, private enterprises, and on-premises clouds, according to Ministry of Communications.

Boosting India's Telecom Vision

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony held in New Delhi, CEO of C-DOT, stated, "Amantya’s initiative is a key milestone for India's telecom ecosystem. Developing a 5G SA Core domestically will provide an indigenous option for deployment under “Atmanirbhar Bharat."

DDG of TTDF added, "This funding support to Amantya Technologies’ is a testament to India’s growing capabilities in the telecom sector. By fostering innovation and self-reliance, this initiative will play a crucial role in transforming India into a global hub for 5G technology.”

Anuradha Gupta, CEO of Amantya Technologies, stated, “This project marks a significant step towards self-reliance in telecom technology and aligns with the Government of India’s vision for a robust and future-ready telecom infrastructure.”
