Rural Empowerment Through Connectivity
Ncell said deploying these new mobile towers has enabled the telco to expand its services into 55 rural and remote areas across the mountainous, hilly, and terai regions. This endeavour has enabled residents in previously underserved locations to access 4G services, bringing them closer to the digital landscape.
Among the villages benefiting from this initiative are Uttargaya Rural Municipality (Rasuwa), Thantikandh Rural Municipality (Dailekh), Durgathali Rural Municipality (Bajhang), Jantedhunga Rural Municipality (Khotang), and previously untouched areas within Inaruwa Municipality (Siraha).
District-Wide Network Enhancement
In addition to its rural thrust, Ncell Axiata said its network enhancement efforts extended to over 50 districts across all seven provinces of Nepal. By strategically installing 283 new towers, the company sought to elevate the overall quality of service (QoS) and provide seamless connectivity to both urban and rural populations.
According to Ncell, Lumbini Province, Sudurpaschim Province, Koshi Province, and Madhesh Province were among the areas benefitting from this proactive approach.
