Virus Found In Vodafone HTC SmartPhoneIndia's leading GSM Mobile service operator Vodafone is facing a malware trouble with its latest handset HTC Magic.

Trend Micro an Internet security firm discovered that Vodafone's HTC Magic Android smart phones comes with preinstalled viruses.




The recipient of one of the malware-laden phones was, fortunately an employee of the Spanish anti virus firm Panda Security.Trend Micro blog also reports that the Vodafone’s Smart phone memory is also believed to carry the malware plugging the phone in via USB into any PC quickly led to an infection by WORM_SILLY.QT.

Trend Micro threat researcher Ryan Flores believes it is likely that a computer in Vodafone’s production line has been infected by WORM_SILLY.QT and, because of the worm’s capability to propagate through removable drives, somehow SD cards in a certain batch of smartphones were infected.
