PUBG Mobile on Android and iOS will be receiving the 0.13.5 update starting today with a ton of new features and improvements. Tencent Games has confirmed that the update will begin rolling out in India today. The 0.13.5 update for Android weighs 181MB in size, while iOS users will have to shell out 158MB from their mobile data or Wi-Fi. One of the biggest changes is for iOS users as the game now supports background download and update feature, meaning iOS players can now send the app to the background like Android users do. Alongside that, the PUBG Mobile 0.13.5 update adds new SMG PP-19 weapon, TPP mode to Team Deathmatch Room mode, new Rating Protection Cards, High Frame Rate option for HDR mode and new PMCO themed events.

PUBG Mobile 0.13.5 Update: What's New?

Starting with the PP-19 weapon, it's PUBG Mobile's fifth submachine gun using 9mm ammunition. This new gun will only be available in Erangel and Vikendi maps with an oversized magazine of 53 rounds. While the gun supports scope and muzzle attachments, it does not support magazine upgrades so the capacity cannot be increased through attachments. The PP-19 SMG delivers single shot damage of 35 and has a fire rate similar to UMP9. So basically it's a UMP9 with an oversized magazine.

One of the most requested features after the Team Deathmatch Mode rollout was to add the TPP game mode to Team Deathmatch room mode. For the unaware, Tencent Games rolled out Team Deathmatch Mode with 0.13.0 update and also allowed users to create custom Team Deathmatch modes using their Room cards. However, the feature was limited to just FPP players, but the 0.13.5 update brings TPP mode as well.

PUBG Mobile Gets Rating Protection Cards: What You Need to Know

Another feature which has been added with the 0.13.5 update is Rating Protection Card. As the name itself suggests, the Rating Protection Card will not decrease the rating of a user when active. That said, this feature is applicable to users on Crown tier or below.

Furthermore, Tencent Games has finally enabled HD Frame Rate option on HDR mode. This feature can be enabled via the Graphics settings inside the PUBG Mobile game, and most likely, it will be available only on high-end phones like the OnePlus 7 Pro, Asus 6Z, Apple iPhone XS Max and so on.

With every update, PUBG Mobile gets a new theme and its no different with the 0.13.5 update as well. With the PUBG Mobile Club Open finals around the corner, Tencent Games has introduced a new PMCO theme which will be available for the users in late July once the finals begin in Berlin. After completing some PMCO themed missions, users will be able to unlock the new PMCO song by Alan Walker and they will also get the PMCO theme for the main menu.

0.13.5 Update Also Brings Some Bug Fixes

Lastly, Tencent Games has fixed some bugs with the 0.13.5 update. In recent times, some players started noticing incorrect rating points decrease during the season change, but the game maker says it's a glitch and nothing to worry. And yes, the 0.13.5 update also sets the stage for Royale Pass Season 8 which will become effective tomorrow in India.
