To compete better with the private telecom operators, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the government led telco has launched a new Rs 75 prepaid plan. The private telecom operators have lately been emphasising the price point around Rs 100 and launching new tariff plans around that mark, BSNL has advanced its portfolio of offerings by adding the new Rs 75 prepaid plan to it. This new plan by the state-owned telco offers 10GB data, unlimited calling benefits (except to Mumbai and Delhi) and 500SMSes for 15 months straight. Another striking fact about this plan is that BSNL is allowing extension of validity on this prepaid tariff. Subscribers will be able to extend the validity to 90 or 180 days.

The freebies offered in the plan include 10GB of data for the entire validity, which is 15 days. In addition to that, subscribers will have the benefit of 500SMSes in this period. The highlight of this plan is the genuinely unlimited calling wherein; users will be able to make local, STD or roaming calls except to subscribers located in Mumbai and Delhi, as is the case with every other BSNL plan.

Rs 75 Prepaid Plan by BSNL Validity Extension

Subscribers of the Rs 75 prepaid plan by BSNL will be eligible for the extension of their validity period with the same benefits. To do this, subscribers will have to recharge their BSNL number with an STV plan with a minimum value of Rs 98. For an STV recharge of more than Rs 98 and less than Rs 199, users will be able to extend their validity by 90 days. For an STV recharge value of higher than Rs 200, users will be able to extend their validity of the Rs 75 recharge by 180 days. To recall, the STV recharges being offered by BSNL over the price of Rs 98 include Rs 98, Rs 99, Rs 118, Rs 139, Rs 187, Rs 198, Rs 319, Rs 333, Rs 339, Rs 349, Rs 395, Rs 444, Rs 447 and Rs 551.

It’s worth noting that as of now, the plan has only been introduced in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle and it can be found with the name of ‘BSNL Jeevitha Prepaid Plan.’ Also, subscribers should compulsorily keep in mind that their validity extension won’t be credited if they buy the STV from self-care, web self-care of via USSD.

As for now, this plan remains limited to only Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana circle and the STVs mentioned above also stay valid in these two circles. In the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, BSNL had also launched the Rs 171 prepaid tariff plan offering 2GB data per day, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice call for 30 days.
