ACT Fibernet is on a roll of late as the leading fiber broadband player now updated its entire plan portfolio in Chennai city. ACT Fibernet has a wide range of broadband plans in Chennai starting from Rs 799 to Rs 4,999. The premium Rs 4,999 plan, after the revision, gives 5TB of FUP, which is nearly four times higher than the previous FUP of 1400GB. The same applies to every other broadband plan in the city. Also, do make a note that there's no separate download and upload limit going forward, so the overall FUP covers both the upload & download. Alongside the existing data, the Internet Service Provider is also offering additional 1500GB for the customers until August 31, 2018, which is an old offer, but still a worthy offer.

Diving deep into the plans, the ACT Basic plan of Rs 799 with 30 Mbps internet speed did not receive any FUP increase, and it still remains at 80GB with an after FUP speed of 512 Kbps. The ACT Blaze plan has received a revision and it now offers 300GB FUP at 75 Mbps speed along with 512 Kbps after FUP speed. ACT Fibernet' Storm plan, which earlier offered 75 Mbps speed now gives 100 Mbps internet speed along with an upgraded FUP of 500GB.

With this revision, ACT Fibernet now has three 100 Mbps broadband plans in the city- the ACT Blast Promo plan of Rs 1,049, the ACT Storm plan of Rs 1,099 and the ACT Lightning plan of Rs 1,299. All the three plans offer 100 Mbps internet speed, but the FUP varies between them. The ACT Blast Promo plan is a promotional one with 1000GB of FUP, while the ACT Storm and Lightning plans offer 500GB and 1000GB FUP per billing cycle now.

The ACT Thunder plan of Rs 1,499 offers 150 Mbps internet speed until 1500GB, post which the speed will be decreased to 1 Mbps. Next on the list, we have four 200 Mbps plans differentiated with FUP and after FUP speed. The ACT Incredible Rs 1,999 plan has been upgraded to offer 200 Mbps internet speed with a FUP of 2TB.

The ISP is also providing three SME plans of Rs 2,999, Rs 3,999 and Rs 4,999 with 3TB, 4TB and 5TB FUP per month, along with an after FUP speed of 2 Mbps.

The 1500GB data will be credited to the user's account as 300GB per month until August 2018. It's been more than six months since ACT Fibernet revised its broadband plans in Chennai, so this move will be appreciated by the consumers for sure. Also, it will force other players to offer more. ACT recently upgraded its plan in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
