ACT Fibernet, one of the largest Internet Service Provider in the country today announced that it increased FUP data limits and internet speed for all its broadband plans in Bengaluru city beginning from April 13, 2018. ACT Fibernet has combined the upload FUP and download FUP limits into one monthly data limit which will now allow customers to consume data on uploads or downloads as per their needs and usage. This essentially means that an ACT Fibernet users on the ACT Giga 1 Gbps broadband plan will now get 2.5TB FUP limit per month, which will be a relief for users as they were limited to 1250GB FUP limit on download and upload earlier.

ACT Fibernet has upgraded its ACT Swift plan to 100GB FUP limit with 15 Mbps speed; the ACT Rapid Plus has been upgraded to 200GB FUP limit with 50 Mbps speed. Similarly, the ACT Blaze plan has been upgraded to 280GB FUP limit to 75 Mbps speed; the ACT Entertainment has been upgraded to 320GB FUP limit with 75 Mbps speed, ACT Storm has been upgraded to 350GB FUP limit with 100 Mbps speed.

The ACT Lightning plan has been bumped to 500GB FUP limit with 125 Mbps speed, followed by the ACT Incredible plan, which has been upgraded to 800GB FUP limit with 150 Mbps speed. The ACT Essential broadband plan has been upgraded to 1100GB FUP limit with 150 Mbps speed, which is followed by ACT Advance plan with 1500GB FUP limit and 150 Mbps speed. Lastly, the ACT Progress plan now gives 2TB FUP limit with 150 Mbps speed, and as we stated, the ACT Giga plan is upgraded to 2.5TB FUP limit with 1 Gbps download and upload speeds.

These changes have been made in Bengaluru city, and there’s no timeline on when the company is going to make the changes in other cities including Hyderabad. Recently, ACT Fibernet added 250GB of additional data to every user as part of the IPL 2018, so that users can stream Live matches online.

But the speed is 75% of what is indicated. I have 125 Mbps speed but speed tests shows 85 Mbps only.

Feel blessed that you even have an option in your location to enjoy 85 Mbps internet. I’ll gladly pay 3 times of what you pay if someone gave me 85 in my city (Guwahati). That’s still over 10 MB/s; absolutely enough for everything including multiple 4K streams. Anything above that and you will hit server bandwidth limit on most websites.

Dude its all matters of time, I remember when I was in Pune in 2014, it was 1800rs for 2mbps unlimited speed and I was very happy and thought its cheap. Now I’m in Noida, it flooded with choices, 1gbps speed at 899 only (till 150gb) or 1299 unlimited. But I dont need all these now. Jio is enough (gives me stable 15mbps all time ).
Its better to go out and enjoy life, instead of on net most of the time.

1 Mbps after FUP !! Is this a joke ? Should’ve been at least 10 Mbps.

1).People share 1 connection if post fup is high…so more connections
2). Poeple choose base <50mbps if fup is not a differentiator….so high plans sells

Both helps in quality of service where "FREE" stuff rules.

yeah lol. Act is greedy af. My ISP in Goa gives 1TB per month and 50Mbps after the fup for 2k. And there’s a bonus on the yearly plan. I get 2TB per month, and 2 months free, so I pay 19990 per year, and get 24TB. Act is horrible.

Actually jio is coming with gigafiber and will rekt most of these private ISPs hard because you’re getting 3 months this unlimited data at 100Mbps, so these ISPs fear that they will lose their customers to Jio so they’re trying to show that they’re being helpful when they’re not. They only want the money.

Why talk of something when you have best?? 200-300gb for normal user, 500-700gb for iptv/gaming is more than enough. 2T for home connection is madness.

Depends on the usage. I seed a lot of torrents, so it’s possible to use more than 800GB per month when seeding. And I’ve been watching the ipl, took a lot of bandwidth. I already finished the 400GB cap for this month and using it at 25Mbps.(1499 plan)
