vodafone idea ,could be rebranded as BSNL-Idea? bsnl can access the 4g towers of vi too ,somewhat solving the problem of no 4g with bsnl overall a much needed subscriber base (they same way they saw in vodafone-idea merger 400ml subs which we all know what happened with)

One thing that is missing since Jio entry is different plans for different category circles. If most of you remember, we had category A, B and C circles which are still here but now we have same tariffs all over India while operator are paying 1/10 or 1/20 in some cases when A and C…

it would be interesting to see how Jio has decided to make plans for 5G the possible outcomes could be that jio might charge maybe 50rs extra per month ? as India is a price sensitive market overall once 5g plans are rolled out i expect high speed broadband to get even cheaper maybe we…

Well Sunil Bharti Mittal does not need to worry about monetising 5G. They will just copy whatever Jio has planned and keep prices 10-20% higher/premium. Just like how Vodafone and idea used to copy before. 5G has been helpful for everyone whoever was frustrated from choked 4G network and high prices after multiple tarrif hikes.…

Shuting down 3G will only save their cost/expenses, it won't add anything to 4G. They either buy more in 2100 MHz to make it 10 MHz or surrender that spectrum ( 5 MHz ) to gov and get refund/relief from fees for remaining time of expiry.

Don't expect any funds raising this year either. Vi has been trying to raise funds since Vodafone and idea cellular merger. In 2022 Gov put a condition to raise funds then only gov will buy equity. Birla group agreed to raise 20000 crore in 2022 to get gov approval which never happened. Good decision.. BSNL should also shut down 3G by financial year 26 ( FY26 ) & complete 4G roll-out by then. Vi should also close 2G in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore etc and roll-out 5G in these cities/circle, from whatever revenue they are generating instead of waiting for fund raising.
